Rodarte S/S 18

It's a very rare moment that you see a collection that literally makes you re-think how humanity should dress.

Rodarte's girls this season were adorned head to toe in baby's breath - strapped to their arms and fingers with gold ribbons. Each model's hair was covered in it, as were a few of the loveliest dresses, and many of the girls walked the runways dragging massive bouquets of the white fluff behind them. Joseph Free, the Los Angeles floral designer who has collaborated with the sisters on previous collections, flew in from the West Coast to style the floristry.

The collection, by Kate and Laura Mulleavy features flowy, sheer fabrics, sparkly fringe and lots of florals, but it's the floral embellishments not on the dresses that will really grab your eye—specifically the flower crowns.  The designer duo sisters received their first standing ovation - which proved that it was well worth the risk of showing their first Couture range in Paris, after twelve years of showing their ready to wear collections in New York.

Oh baby, what a breath of fresh air - see what we did there?
