An iconic moment for the Australian fashion house
We can’t all afford to own a Brett Whiteley piece, but I think we’ve just found the next big thing.
Local Sydney brand, Aje, has collaborated with the Brett Whiteley Studio to create a collection comprising of about 60 looks, which uses prints of five Brett Whiteley works, including Woman in Bath (1963) and The Blossom Tree (1970).
This was the first time a fashion label has approached the art studio about using Brett's works for fashion.
"It's such a special thing to buy into this," designer Adrian Norris said. "You're buying fashion but you're also buying into a piece of Australian art history."
