After some heavy deliberation, the top 10 finalists for the CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist have been announced. As an influx of designers enter the fashion industry, launching and keeping a fashion label afloat financially can be very difficult. For the past 15 years, the CFDA and Vogue have aimed to help talented emerging designers.

The special finalists are:

Batsheva, Batsheva Hay
Bode, Emily Adams Bode
Christian Cowan, Christian Cowan
Hunting Season, Danielle Corona
Jonathan Cohen, Jonathan Cohen and Sarah Leff
Luar, Raul Lopez
Matthew Adams Dolan, Matthew Adams Dolan
Pyer Moss, Kerby Jean-Raymond
Rebecca de Ravenel, Rebecca de Ravenel
Scosha, Scosha Woolridge

This shortlist was chosen by a panel of judges including Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, Steven Kolb, Andrew Rosen, Mark Holgate, Nicole Phelps, Roopal Patel, Jeffrey Kalinsky, Eva Chen, and Joseph Altuzarra.

Every year, one winner and two runner ups are chosen to win a monetary prize in aims of kickstarting their brand. In 2018, the winner will take home $400,000 while runners up receive $150,000 each. In addition, these designers will receive a year-long membership.

The next several months will be a busy time for these emerging talents. Regular meetings with the panel of judges will take place, reviewing designs for their upcoming collections. The winners will be announced during a fashion show and gala on 5th of November in New York.
