Gucci drops a huge Men's Resort collection

Meet the newest must-have accessory, a deck chair!

Just when you thought you’d wrapped your little head around all 114 looks of Gucci's Resort 2019 collection, which is about triple what most designers show, the fashion house releases a gigantic Men’s Resort 2019 lookbook.

There is of course a lot going on here, but that's what we love most about Gucci, they aren't afraid to mix ugly with ugly. Think head-to-toe sequins with “dirty” sneakers; lawn chairs and pool floats as fashion accessories; and kimonos wrapped over corporate suits. One model poses with an enormous ice cream cone; others are holding tiny dogs or bonding with sunburnt locals.

We spy more of those Chateau Marmont “laundry bags” and sweatshirts printed with the hotel’s mascot, Pan, as well as oversized totes printed with Disney’s The Three Little Pigs cartoon characters. Gucci’s iconic collaboration with Major League Baseball continues and turned up on varsity jackets, caps and Los Angeles Dodgers backpacks.

It should all tide you over until September 24, when Gucci’s Spring 2019 women’s and men’s collections hit the runway in Paris.
