One To Watch: Imogen Tonkin
This girl is our favourite face this season, watch out 2018.
This 18-year old beauty, Imogen Tonkin is styled and shot by her booker, Stacey Hendrickson.
A-Z: What are you most looking forward to this year?
IT: This year I’m super excited to hopefully be heading to New Zealand for a month to do some solid modelling work. I’m so glad I’ve been offered such an exciting opportunity, and can’t wait to see how it goes.
A-Z: What has been your favourite moment in your modelling career so far?
IT: There have been so many amazing moments over the past few years that it would be too hard to pick just one. I’ve been able to work with some amazing South Australian brands and artists like BNKR and Julie White. One standout moment would have to be making my debut in the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival. It was such an exciting experience and I hope I get to do it again this year!
A-Z: You have amazing brows, have you ever touched them?
IT: I used to! I went through a phase where I felt a little insecure about them, so I had them shaped a few times just to make them a bit ‘neater’. When I was scouted by AZALEA my agent told me to completely leave them alone and I’ve never looked back!
A-Z: Were you ever teased for them growing up?
IT: Actually, my boyfriend’s ex once wrote a tumblr post about me saying that “half my face belongs to my eyebrows”, but hey, he doesn’t seem to mind. I did get a bit of teasing years ago, but now they’re one of the most complimented things about me!
A-Z: What does a typical day in the life of Imogen Tonkin involve?
IT: A typical day for me is going to uni for a few hours, maybe having a choir rehearsal/singing lesson or hanging out with my boyfriend and friends… But mostly chilling in bed watching Netflix with my cat.
A-Z: How were you scouted?
IT: I was in the city after school when my agent happened to be driving past with a friend. When they got to a red light, my agent’s friend told her she had to get out of the car and talk to me (luckily she wasn’t driving!) I have to admit I was a little sceptical at first, but I looked into AZALEA that night and the rest is history!
