Model of the Week: Sophie Radford

What a gem.

A-Z: Hey Sophie Radford, do you ever feel alot of social pressure to be 'rad' because it's in your name?
Sophie: SO much pressure. I feel like my name and I are a total juxtaposition. I really don’t do it enough justice.

A-Z: How do you feel about double denim?
Sophie: I have many mixed emotions. If executed correctly it’s a game changer. If you’re me, you’ll probably end up looking like Brittany gone wrong at a 90s party. My advice is choose your denim pieces wisely, aka cropped jacket and low rise jeans, don’t even think about it.

A-Z: Where would you like to see yourself in three years?
Sophie: Catching up for a soy chai latte on the Champs Élysée with my mum in between my super busy schedule of fittings during fashion week when she stops by to visit me in Paris. Or if that doesn’t work out you’ll catch me hitting the books at law school, hopefully training with the Australian defence force at the same time.

A-Z: Tell us about your love life.
Sophie: Well firstly, I don’t really believe in love probably because I’ve never experienced it, or when I thought I did it tore my heart in half and shat on it. I use Spotify playlists [non ironically] to attempt to get over the boys that I emotionally invest myself in. Follow my most recent playlist, ‘Tungjatjeta’ by @sopheeerad, to go on an emotional rollercoaster of my current heart ache. Aside from that, I’m accepting applications for a boyfriend. Requirements are: must be tall (6”2 and over), funny, have his drivers license, have a dog or be happy to walk mine with me. Please DM me on Instagram if you think you are, or know someone who is a viable candidate.

A-Z: Would you say that you're a good kisser and can you give our readers any tips?
Look I’m going to be honest; no guy has ever told me I’m a shit kisser so that either means I’m half decent or they’re just polite. My tip dear readers: DO NOT lead with tongue, biggest no ever. Relax your lips and don’t feel the need to open your mouth a whole lot. You’re kissing someone, not eating a whopper.

A-Z: How do you like living in Sydney, and do you miss Adelaide?
After school finished I felt a bit lost in Adelaide, mainly because all my friends were off to Uni and I don’t really know what I want to do with my life or what’s going to work for me. I’m not saying that everything became clear when I got to Sydney but I definitely have more of an idea as to where I might direct myself in the future. I feel like there is a place for me in Sydney, while Adelaide sort of leaves me sitting still. A piece of my heart will always be on Hindley Street in Supercali, but Sydney is just giving me a little something different & fun for the time being.

A-Z: And lastly, if you could have those pearls stuck to your face for the rest of your life, would you do it?
For life is a bit of a commitment, but they’d definitely give me a point of difference from other girls at castings which might help me book more work haha.
