A cult-classic favourite, Off-White™, are suing a US-brand for copyright infringement.

According to a report, Off-White™ has filed a lawsuit against Rastaclat for making/selling bracelets that use “its” quotation marks and red zip tie design elements. Court documents note that Rastaclat is currently selling $18 USD bracelets under the names “Off-Clat” and/or “Off-Clat c/o Rastaclat” at major retailers like ZumiezThe Finish Line, and Amazon.

We are told that Off-White do not currently have federal registrations for the two design elements mentioned, although they claim that it has violated ‘significant common law trademark’ rights instead.

Off-White believes the designs from Rastaclat will confuse their customers, and may result in purchases under the false assumption they were designed by Virgil Abloh.

What do you think?
