Top Trends according to VAMFF 2018 Runways

That's a wrap for the VAMFF on-site shows, and we are left with nothing but backstage memories and a huge inspiration board for the upcoming season.

We've put together our favourite Autumn trends, as assessed by our fashion editor, Stacey Hendrickson

1. Small handbags worn as bumbags

As seen on pretty much every Runway event at VAMFF, the glam bogan look is back, and we love it more than ever.

2. Layers of ruffles

The more layers the better. Time to make like the red flamenco dancing emoji. We saw these looks from Macgraw and We Are Kindred.

3. Structured french berets

Beret's are everything this season, they stem from the huge Parisian trends that we've been seeing the past couple of years - think bangs, a-line mini skirts, and hair scarves. Bonus points if they're made of plastic leather.

4. Androgynous dressing

This has been a constant theme since Coco Chanel herself started to wear pants, but even more so recently as we start to question 'what even really is gender?'. Bravo to the Harper's Bazaar Bridal show for their gender fluid dressing, in celebration of marriage equality in Australia.
